INFORMATION ABOUT CANAVAC CENTRAL VACUUM SYSTEMS
ORIGIN: Cana-Vac Central Vacuum Systems have been Made in Canada since 1970. They are manufactured in Owen Sound, Ontario. All of the models are steel making the body more durable than those made of plastic
BODY: Cana-Vac has stuck with the old style snap on buckets due to the ease of use than the twist off buckets. From experimenting with some twist off buckets, although can appear easy to use, if you tighten up the bucket too much, 6-12 months down the road when you empty out the bucket you might have issues and unfortunately may also get a cloud of dirt from dropping the bucket due to frustration. Snap on buckets resolve the issue of this occurring, and you can never snap on the bucket to tight.
MOTOR: Inside each of the Cana-Vac Central Vacuum Systems is a Lamb Ametek Motor. These motors are high quality and have a history of lasting 30-40years. All but one Cana-Vac model uses the Lamb Ametek steel horn motor.
Please Note: The model that uses a Plastic Horn motor is the 675-LS Model, which is a 700AW motor. This model was introduced to compete against competitors with a 600AW motor that is a plastic horn.
Don’t be fooled with Air Watts, the 520AW motors found inside the Cana-Vac 399-L and 399-LS are just as strong and sometimes stronger than the 600AW motors you’ll come across in the central vacuum market.
WARRANTY: Cana-Vac has one of the best Central Vacuum System Warranties available. All of the Cana-Vac ‘L’ Models come with a 10 year parts warranty, Cana-Vac ‘LS’ Models come with a 15 year parts warranty, and Cana-Vac ‘XLS’ Models come with a 20 year parts warranty.
VALUE: With a product like Cana-Vac that’s made in Canada, with a high-end motor, this system is easily the BEST available. The pricing of this system is very reasonable, and you’ll be extremely happy with your Cana-Vac System for 25-40 years.
#1 SELLING MODEL: The most popular model is the 399-LS which has a steel horn Lamb Motor. Even though it’s a 520AW motor, this model can do homes up to 8,000sqft and is as powerful as most 600AW motors on the market. (At times the 520AW motor is more powerful)
